How do I know if I need to replace or repair my pool pump?
There are a few signs that your pool filter needs to be cleaned. First, if the back pressure on the filter system rises and second if the overall flow rate of the pool circulation drops. If either of those happens its likely time to clean your pool filter.
How do I know if my pool filter needs to be replaced?
Usually, cartridge filters need to be replaced every 3-5 years with normal wear and tear. Another sign that it needs to be replaced is it needs to be cleaned more frequently and the pressure rises more frequently. Inspect your cartridges when cleaning them and if you see tears or cracks in the end caps, its probably time to replace them.
